Meta Commerce Manager catalog errors, fixed at the feed level

Each guide covers what Commerce Manager rejects, why your store export produces it, the manual fix, and the IRONFEED rule that applies it to every product.

Critical

Universal product code or availability is missing

Meta needs an availability value it recognizes on every item. Free-text stock states such as “available”, “Disponible” or “2 in stock” are read as missing, and the product drops out of dynamic ads.

Product not eligible for Advantage+ catalog ads or Shops

Warning

Pixel and catalog price/currency mismatch

Meta compares the price and currency your pixel reports on ViewContent and Purchase events with the values in the catalog. A formatting difference — comma decimals, missing currency, tax-inclusive versus tax-exclusive — reads as a mismatch.

Degraded dynamic ad matching and unreliable ROAS attribution

Critical

Image resolution is too low (< 500x500)

Meta rejects catalog images below 500x500 pixels, and recommends 1024x1024 for Shops. Most feeds send a resized thumbnail because that is the URL the storefront template exposes.

Missing field: description

Meta requires a plain-text description of up to 9,999 characters. Feeds that emit raw HTML, empty paragraphs or nothing at all fail the requirement.

Item rejected or served without copy in dynamic ads

Warning

Variants grouped incorrectly (item_group_id missing)

item_group_id ties every colour and size of one product together. Without it, Meta shows five near-identical items in the same carousel and splits performance data across them.

Duplicate variants competing in the same dynamic ad set

Currency not supported in target country

Each catalog country accepts a defined currency set. Publishing symbols, lowercase codes or a currency the market does not support makes the price unusable and the item undeliverable there.

Items ineligible for delivery in the targeted market

Invalid URL in link or mobile_link

Meta requires an absolute HTTPS URL that resolves to the product page. Relative paths, unencoded characters and malformed tracking parameters all fail validation.

Item rejected; ad clicks cannot resolve to a product page
