Profile, password and two-factor authentication

Update your IRONFEED profile and email, change or reset your password, enable two-factor authentication with recovery codes, and follow credential best practices for feeds and SFTP.

Account security settings live under Settings. They apply to your own login; a workspace owner cannot change a teammate's password or 2FA.

Profile

Settings → Profile: update your full name and email address. Changing the email sends a confirmation link to the new address; the change applies once confirmed.

Password

  • Settings → Password: enter the current password and the new one.
  • Forgot it? Use Forgot password on the login page; a reset link is emailed to you.
  • Users invited with a temporary password are asked to set a new one on first login.
  • Sign in with Google is available as an alternative to a password.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Settings → Two-factor authentication enrolls an authenticator app (TOTP): scan the QR code, enter the 6-digit code, and store the one-time recovery codes shown once. After that, each login asks for a code; a recovery code can be used if the phone is lost. 2FA can be disabled from the same page after verifying a code.

Sessions

Inactive sessions expire: a dialog warns you shortly before and lets you stay signed in. Signing out on one device does not affect others.

Rotate these credentials from the same pages if they ever leak. Feed URLs are unlisted but public: treat the token as a secret and delete the channel to revoke it.
