Profile, password and two-factor authentication
Update your IRONFEED profile and email, change or reset your password, enable two-factor authentication with recovery codes, and follow credential best practices for feeds and SFTP.
Account security settings live under Settings. They apply to your own login; a workspace owner cannot change a teammate's password or 2FA.
Profile
Settings → Profile: update your full name and email address. Changing the email sends a confirmation link to the new address; the change applies once confirmed.
Password
- Settings → Password: enter the current password and the new one.
- Forgot it? Use Forgot password on the login page; a reset link is emailed to you.
- Users invited with a temporary password are asked to set a new one on first login.
- Sign in with Google is available as an alternative to a password.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Settings → Two-factor authentication enrolls an authenticator app (TOTP): scan the QR code, enter the 6-digit code, and store the one-time recovery codes shown once. After that, each login asks for a code; a recovery code can be used if the phone is lost. 2FA can be disabled from the same page after verifying a code.
Sessions
Inactive sessions expire: a dialog warns you shortly before and lets you stay signed in. Signing out on one device does not affect others.
Credentials you store in IRONFEED
| Credential | Where | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Feed login / password (Advanced options) | Shop → Input Feed | Use a read-only account created only for IRONFEED. |
| FTP / SFTP delivery account | Channel → Export | Use an account limited to the destination folder. |
| Shopify access | Granted through the Shopify install | Uninstalling the app from Shopify revokes it. |
Rotate these credentials from the same pages if they ever leak. Feed URLs are unlisted but public: treat the token as a secret and delete the channel to revoke it.
