Catalog and input
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Shop | One product catalog with its own source, schedule, master fields, channels and settings. Shops are numbered (#12) and have an internal name. |
| Input feed | The source IRONFEED imports from: Shopify, an XML / CSV / TSV / JSON URL, an uploaded file or a Google Sheet. |
| Product | One imported item, identified by its external id and stored with every raw field from the source. |
| Source field | A raw attribute name detected in the imported products (for example g:title, price, variant_sku). Namespaced XML tags are matched by their local name, so g:title is available as title. |
| Update time | A time of day (HH:MM, 5-minute steps) when the source is fetched again. Up to five per day. |
| Drop protection | A per-shop threshold (%) that raises an alert, and optionally keeps the last correct feed, when the product count falls between two imports. |
Master Fields and rules
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Master field | A shop-wide, reusable rule that produces one attribute (for example title). Six are required; you can add recommended optional ones and custom ones. |
| Mapping action | How a value is produced: Use a field, Add static value, Combine fields and text, Use lookup table, Extract from, or Leave empty. |
| Apply to | Whether a mapping applies to All products, Only IF a condition matches, or with IF / ELSE branches. |
| Condition | A test on a field (price is greater than 100, title includes "refurbished"). Conditions can be chained with AND / OR. |
| Change values | Post-processing rules applied to the produced value: replace, remove, prefix, suffix, strip HTML, recalculate, recapitalize, round and more. |
| Lookup table | A two-column list of equivalences (From → To) used to translate values, e.g. SAM → Samsung. |
| `{{field}}` placeholder | Inside a condition value or a rule input, {{brand}} is replaced by the product's brand value at processing time. |
Channels and output
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Channel | One output feed for one destination and country, e.g. "Google Shopping (US)". Types: Google Shopping, Meta Catalog, TikTok, Criteo, Custom Feed. |
| Channel field | An attribute in the output feed. Required and optional fields are pre-seeded from the channel specification. |
| Filter | The Include/Exclude rule set that decides which products enter the channel. |
| Category assignment | The Google product category chosen for a group of products (AI or manual). |
| Generation | One run that applies mappings, filters and categories and writes the XML feed. |
| Feed Review issue | A per-product finding with a severity (error, warning, info), a type and the affected field. |
| Health score | A 0–100 score per channel derived from the Feed Review results. Below 70 the app shows "Fix issues", below 95 "Review issues". |
| Feed token | The unique identifier in the Feed URL (https://feed.ironfeed.app/feed/<token>). Anyone with the URL can read the feed. |
| Delivery | How the platform gets the feed: by fetching the Feed URL, or by an FTP/SFTP upload from IRONFEED. |
Account
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Everything owned by the account that created it: shops, channels, team, subscription. |
| Role | What a teammate can see or edit. Organization roles cover every shop; shop roles cover selected shops only. |
| Seat | One user login in a workspace. The number of seats depends on the plan. |
| SKU | For plan limits, one imported product counts as one SKU across all your shops. |
| Alert | A notification about an event (feed drop, fetch failure, schema change, mapping error, export failure, missed schedule, quota exceeded, shop recovered). |
